Our 21st Century world changes very fast.  It is important to stay in touch with the prevailing worldview, as well as current local and global trends.  There is much value to be gained by considering your organisation, a 'learning' organisation.  This means that some of your human resources are constantly focused on researching, information-seeking, debating, evaluating, analysing and sharing new knowledge.  This enables your organisation to be fast, flexible and creative in the moment.

To be constantly seeking new and improved ways to operate and achieve goals is a hallmark of successful human enterprise over the long term.  Many organisations fall into the trap of holding onto views and repeating strategies that once helped them to be successful.  They may fail to notice what has changed in their environment, and may not see when their ideas and actions are no longer serving them well.  Everything changes all the time, demanding that we adapt too if we want to maximise new opportunities over time.
